Service & Calibration

United Welding Supplies Ltd., have been awarded the status of “Approved Service Centre” for a number of major manufacturers, such as Kemppi and Victor Technologies.

This helps to reassure existing and potential customers, that any machine supplied through us, will receive an excellent back-up service, throughout its warranty period and beyond.

Alongside this, we provide a comprehensive range of services, for a vast range of machine brands and types, of welding and cutting equipment, through our skilled, manufacturer trained, engineers.

Based at each of our three branches, our engineers, enable us to provide a fast on-site assessment and “first-time fix” service.  Alternatively, customers have the option, to return their machines, to our fully equipped workshops. Our fleet of delivery vans are available to collect machines direct from customer’s premises, by prior arrangement with each branch. This is often preferable given it helps reduce the overall cost of the work, by eliminating, an engineer’s travel time.

All warranty, service and repair work is carried out, using the BS EN 60974-4:2011 standard for Arc welding equipment, In-service inspection and testing.

Depending on availability, a similar machine, can often be provided, for the duration of any repair/service, at reduced hire rates. Please ask when arranging an engineer’s visit, or collection by our van.

As written in most manufacturer’s warranty statement, it is recommended that equipment must be maintained and serviced during this period, at regular intervals, (see relevant warranty statement), with any repairs carried out by an approved service agent.

CALIBRATION SERVICES

As the desire for standardising procedures grows, such as the current EN1090 requirements for CE marking of structural steel, more and more companies will be required to provide full traceability of materials, equipment and qualification/coding of personnel used in manufacturing their product or supplying their service.
